Scones 2

The last time was an experiment to see if that recipe was better than the other one I’ve tried. It was. So today these popped out of the oven:

And were quickly topped with maple icing and pecans.

There were 8 of them. I had to make sure they were ok before I took a picture.

The basic scone recipe is linked in the original scones post. The icing is here: http://southernfood.about.com/od/icingrecipes/r/bl30222l.htm, just substitute maple extract for vanilla extract. No real creativity with the recipes on my part, just scavenged off the internet.

    Make the scones
Drizzle the icing on them while they’re still hot until they’re good and coated
    Drop pecan bits on them

Let ’em cool for 10 minutes. If you can. If not, oh well!

Amazing who comes out of the woodwork when you start writing a blog (barely). Good to hear from you again, Frothy!

These are really pretty easy, good luck!

Comments closed, because apparently spambots love scones.
